Automatic notes and actions from every Teams meeting
The meeting ends, everyone agrees it was useful, and then within a day nobody can quite remember who was doing what. The notes, if anyone took them, are in someone's head.
Where it hurts
Somebody's meant to be scribbling while also taking part, which means they do neither well. Or nobody writes anything down and you rely on memory, which is why the same points come round again next fortnight.
Then the action points evaporate. "Right, you'll chase the supplier and I'll ring the client" gets said, agreed, and forgotten, because it was never written anywhere. Two weeks later neither of you did it and each assumed the other had.
For a small team, that's slow rot. Decisions don't stick, follow-ups slip, and meetings start to feel like a waste because nothing comes out of them.
What I'd build
The mechanical bit comes first: transcription switched on properly, recordings stored somewhere sensible rather than scattered about, and the privacy side sorted so everyone knows the meeting's being summarised. Then the AI layer, using Teams' built-in note-taking or Copilot if you have it: it reads the transcript when the call ends, pulls out the decisions and who agreed to do what, and sends a clean summary round automatically. For your regular meetings I'd tune it to just decisions and actions, which is all anyone reads anyway. And the action list doesn't vanish into an email nobody opens twice: it can land on a running list, so next week's meeting starts by checking what actually got done.
