Turn a camera roll of job photos into proper reports
Every job ends with thirty photos on someone's phone and a report that never quite gets written.
Where it hurts
The evidence is all there: before shots, after shots, the fault you found, the part you fitted. But it lives on the phone of whoever was on site, and turning it into something a customer or an insurer can read means an evening at the kitchen table that never happens.
So the paperwork goes out thin, disputes take longer to settle, and when a customer queries a job six months on, the photos that would end the argument in a minute are three phone upgrades away.
What I'd build
I'd set up a simple flow: photos from site land in one shared place, straight from the phone, and an AI step sorts them by job, dates them, and drafts the write-up around them: a job report covering what was found, done and fitted, or a quote priced from your own rate card. Whoever ran the job checks it, presses send, and it files itself against the customer. It works with the phones and storage you already have; Google Drive or Microsoft 365 both do the job.
What changes
- Every job ends with a tidy, dated, photo-backed report
- Disputes and insurance queries get settled with evidence, not memory
- The kitchen-table paperwork evening disappears
- Photos file themselves against the right job instead of dying on a phone
