Win back lost customers with a simple email
Somewhere in your accounts is a list of people who used to buy from you and just quietly stopped. Not angry, not gone elsewhere on principle, they simply drifted, and a nudge would bring a good number back.
Where it hurts
It happens without anyone noticing. A regular comes in every couple of months, then life gets busy, they miss a visit, then another, and after a year they've fallen off the radar entirely. You've no idea it happened because nobody's watching for the absence.
You feel the effect, though. You're always chasing new customers to replace the ones leaking out the bottom, spending on ads to fill a bucket with a hole in it.
And the maddening part is these people liked you. They're far easier to win back than a stranger is to win over. They just need reminding you exist.
What I'd build
I'd start with the sales history you already hold, in Xero, QuickBooks, your till or your booking system, and pull out who hasn't bought in however long you decide counts as lapsed. That list refreshes itself every month, so it keeps catching people as they drift. Then, instead of one generic blast, an AI step reads each person's history, what they bought, how often, how long it's been, and drafts a short note that actually sounds like you wrote it to them, ready for you to approve, or sent on its own within rules we agree. Each month you see who's lapsed and what went out, so you know the leak is being plugged rather than taking it on faith.
What changes
- A real list of who's drifted off, pulled from your own records
- Each note drafted from their actual history, not one generic blast
- You approve the sends, or set rules and let the routine ones go
- Runs monthly so it keeps catching new lapses
