Shopify sales reports, sent to your inbox automatically
Shopify's analytics are decent, if you go and look at them. Most owners don't, because it means logging in and choosing from about forty reports, so the store's real story goes unread.
Where it hurts
The numbers exist. Best sellers, slow movers, where orders came from, which week beat the last. But they sit behind a login inside an admin panel you open to ship orders, not to think about strategy.
So the weekly review that would tell you what to reorder, what to promote and what's dying on the shelf just doesn't happen. You react to what's obvious and miss what's creeping.
A report you have to go and fetch is a report you'll skip. One that arrives on its own gets read.
What I'd build
I'd set up a weekly email that pulls the numbers straight from Shopify: sales for the week against the last, top sellers, slow movers, where the orders came from. Same morning every week, so it becomes a habit. Then the part the analytics screen never gives you: an AI step reads the week's figures before the email goes out and writes the two or three lines that matter at the top. A product that's slowed since a price change, a best seller heading for a stock-out, a channel quietly picking up. The table's underneath if you want to dig, but most weeks the note tells you what to reorder, what to promote and what to leave alone.
What changes
- A plain weekly report in your inbox, no logging in
- Two or three lines at the top telling you what actually changed
- Slow movers and looming stock-outs flagged before they bite
- This week against last, so you can feel the direction
